Friendship House Resident Directors Gather in Holland, MI for Retreat and Training

May 17-19 Friendship House RDs from Friendship Houses at Duke Divinity/Durham, NC, Vanderbilt Divinity/Nashville, TN and Western Theological Seminary/Holland, MI gathered for retreat and training.

Retreat leaders included:
Revs. Nikki Raye Rice and Daniel DeVries (both prior RDs in Friendship House)
Matthew Floding—Duke Divinity School and Friendship House Partners board
Benjamin Conner—Western Theological Seminary, director of the Certificate in Disabilities Studies
Revs. Terry DeYoung and Mark Stephenson, denominational disabilities advocates for the Reformed Church in America and Christian Reformed Church, North America
Melissa Conner—Therapeutic Riding instructor and RD of Friendship House—Western
Barbara J. Newman—special education with expertise in Autism spectrum
Friendship House Residents through their presence and testimony
Parents of Friendship House residents who were also amazing hosts for a celebratory BBQ to close the retreat/training.
